Service Dogs of Virginia

Service Dogs of Virginia trains dogs to assist people in five program areas: physical assistance, medical alert, autism, PTSD for veterans and first responders, and facility dogs. Through donations like ours, Service Dogs of Virginia can provide service dogs at no cost to those in need.

Meet Ruffin! The black Labrador was bred to be a service dog. A donation to Service Dogs of Virginia inspired naming a dog after the Foundation. We have had the privilege of meeting Ruffin and his handler, Barbara, several times. Ruffin has since been placed with an individual who couldn’t live independently without him.
